Project cargo on MV "Beluga Shanghai"

Pipes, trucks, rail cars, complete or dismantled factory facilities – the spectrum of project cargo is enormous. The projects often feature a long range of parallel or successive shipments as well as great variety of cargo in one shipment. In some cases one project might take months or years if a customer needs the goods in time at different places of the world.

Through a large number of equally constructed vessels Beluga provides for a sufficient amount of multipurpose heavy-lift carriers for projects of every scale even in case of unexpected changes at short notice. Due to their crane gear the special vessels are able to load and discharge even in smaller ports with a weak local infrastructure. Cargo weights of up to 1400 tons can be handled without hiring port cranes. Box-shaped holds being partly more than 80 metres long as well as adjustable tweendecks provide for adaptable space for stowing. The Beluga Chartering and Transport Engineering give support within the planning process.
